The Wikimedia Foundation is asking for donations to cover their always increasing costs for hardware and other stuff.
They need ca. $200,000 for this quarter alone! Yes, that was a bit shocking for me, too... As of today they already raised $98,000 so they still need ca. $102,000 until 2005-09-08 (the "fund drive" is is being held from 2005-08-19 to 2005-09-08).
If you have some spare money, go donate it, help to keep the knowledge of this world free!
